Stafford Festival Shakespeare presents The Merchant of Venice – cast announcement

Stafford Festival Shakespeare is delighted to reveal the full cast announcement for this summer’s much-anticipated production of The Merchant of Venice, set to take place once again in the atmospheric surroundings of Stafford Castle.

Casting Director Lucy Casson has worked hard with the production team to develop a well-rounded and talented team of actors for this year’s show. The performers bring a wealth of training and performance experience to this year’s exciting production, including film, TV, and radio work, and credits that include RSC, Open Air Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, and the National Theatre.

We are excited to welcome the cast to the theatre today for the beginning of rehearsals. The full cast is as follows:

DUKE OF VENICE / PRINCE OF MOROCCO / BARNARDO: David Carr
SALARINA: Rhiannon Clements
NERISSA: Christine Gomes
SHYLOCK: Linal Haft

SALIANA: Paddy Navin
BASSANIO: Alastair Natkiel
